( May 5, 2017, 3:24 PM EDT) -- DOTHAN, Ala. — Two medical doctors cannot testify that the epinephrine used in a dental anesthetic caused a man with high blood pressure to have a stroke that killed him, but they can offer other causation opinions and testify about the alleged breach of the standard of care by the dentist who pulled four of the man’s teeth just before he suffered the fatal stroke, an Alabama federal magistrate judge ruled April 28 (Cynthia Rushing Murphy v.
