PFAS Water Pollution Case Fails Based On Contractor Defense, Companies Say

( September 21, 2021, 7:25 AM EDT) -- GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Two companies that make firefighting products on Sept. 15 removed to Michigan federal court a lawsuit brought by a municipal water provider alleging that multiple chemical companies are liable for polluting an aquifer by manufacturing aqueous film forming foam (AFFF), which contains per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).  The companies say they are not liable for pollution because they are protected by nature of being government contractors....
