Mealey's (February 14, 2023, 12:56 PM EST) -- SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A California federal judge on Feb. 13 filed an order granting without leave to amend a bank’s motion to dismiss the third amended class complaint of a former credit card customer that alleged that the bank failed to keep its promises regarding relief from minimum monthly payments and late fees for customers experiencing financial hardship in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, concluding that the customer had failed to “add any materially different allegations that changed the Court’s analysis” that resulted in the dismissal with leave to amend the second amended complaint and that “she is unable to amend her pleading to state a viable claim.”...
