(March 29, 2023, 12:00 PM EDT) -- CHICAGO — Several Chicago suburbs have sued Monsanto Co. in Illinois state court seeking damages for the contamination of drinking water as a result of the discharging of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) into sewers, which the plaintiffs say Monsanto advised its commercial customers to do when they had wastes containing PCBs, even though the company knew that would directly introduce PCBs into surface waters.
