Monsanto: Glyphosate Case Fails Because Roundup In Not ‘Unreasonably Dangerous’

Mealey's (January 30, 2023, 9:35 AM EST) -- SAN FRANCISCO — Monsanto Co. has filed an answer in California federal court denying all claims brought by a Louisiana man who contends that he developed cancer as a result of exposure to glyphosate, the active ingredient in the herbicide Roundup.  Monsanto also contends the claims are barred because the plaintiff “cannot proffer any scientifically reliable evidence that the products at issue were defective or unreasonably dangerous.”...
