Law Firm Files 17 PFAS Cases Against 3M, DuPont And Others For False Safety Claims

(April 25, 2023, 10:47 AM EDT) -- CHARLESTON, S.C. — A law firm on April 24 filed 17 complaints in South Carolina federal court against 3M Co., E.I. du Pont de Nemours and other companies for injuries from exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the firefighting agent known as aqueous film forming foam (AFFF).  One of the plaintiffs, Michael Baldwin, whose complaint is representative of the other cases, contends that “despite their decades of knowledge about PFAS and its dangers, Defendants continue to make false claims” about its safety....
