Connecticut Says Federal Contractor Defense In PFAS Case Is Not Colorable

( July 11, 2025, 1:11 PM EDT) -- NEW YORK — Connecticut has filed a response brief in the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals arguing that the state’s per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances XE "per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances"  (PFAS) contamination lawsuit against the 3M Co. and others belongs in state court because the state disclaims the only basis by which the defendants seek removal to federal court.
